Sue Rahr - Executive Director, Criminal Justice Training Commission, will be our guest speaker.

The Association of Washington Cities has made Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA) funding a part of their 2018 legislative advocacy agenda.  SCC also sees BLEA funding as essential for our cities to get newly hired officers out working for our communities.  Director Rahr will give a presentation on the status of the state funding discussions, and with the help of some of our local Police chiefs, help us understand how BLEA and local training work together to prepare our officers for today's challenges.
